Shuffled, scattered, stratified, slipped, toppled, and shifted in a “techtonic” terrain with geological faults and urban plans, 200,000 empty pages awaiting inscription travel in all directions to survey what is absent, and quiet the space like snowfall. Strickland’s camera explores Maggi’s landscape myopically, from macroscopic to microscopic perspectives, tracing the surgical precision of the artist’s hand and contemplating his intrepid enterprise through the fragile experience of paper.
