On New Year's Eve, a not-so-lucky thief, Misha, breaks into a house in the very center of Moscow, where a lonely old man lives. Misha hopes to improve his unenviable financial situation and bring back his family - his wife and seven-year-old daughter. However, in the old man's big house, he finds nothing of any value, except for the deposits of children's toys in the basement.
