About a shy history professor and his difficulties in finding a partner through personal ads. Although women are interested in Professor Hrstka, he has not yet managed to get married. His former classmate Koníček, who happens to meet him as a house painter, wants to help him. However, the shy professor prefers to put Koníček forward when it comes to dating.
