Peter Field is a second unit director of photography. He began his career in the visual effects department at Pinewood Studios, where he notably contributed to the production of Superman III. From those early days in optical and visual effects, he advanced into camera work both as an operator and as a second‑unit cinematographer, eventually building a reputation on large-scale international feature films and television productions. Over the years, he has accumulated over 50 film credits and around 18 television credits, working across main, second, splinter, VFX, action, and model/miniature units. Colleagues widely praise him for his technical skills, creative eye, calm professionalism, and collaborative spirit—Vic Armstrong described him as "the consummate professional," while other collaborators called him "highly collaborative," "excited by action," and someone they would hire again without hesitation. He is also the son of renowned visual effects artist Roy Field and brother of Tim Field.
