The story begins when Kouki, an apathetic convenience store worker who struggles to find meaning in his daily life, is stabbed by a random thug. In his dying moments, he sees a beautiful angel with pure white wings. Thinking he was being taken to the afterlife, he is surprised to wake up and find himself fully recovered.
