When Hooker, Stacy and Corrigan aid in the stake-out of a money counterfeiting operation, Corrigan accidentally shoots dead an informant in the crossfire, while the head of the ring escapes. The shooting leaves a remorseful Corrigan questioning his choice of career, something that deepens even more when he is later forced to shoot a man involved with the counterfeiting ring who takes a hostage.
