Gene sings, soothing Miss Nettie, allowing them to escape, to bring in the real counterfeiters, who have been acting like complete gentlemen around her. After they are brought in, Miss Nettie gives Gene and Pat a pardon, and jails the real counterfeiters, while at the same time, resigns as sheriff.
