Ackland finds she is becoming too personally involved with the domestic violence case when she tries to protect victim Monica Skinner from her husband, Sean, by forcing her to testify against him. When Monica and her boyfriend are found attacked, suspicion immediately falls on Sean, but Carver isn't too sure.
