Alexis Conran travels to the West Midlands to meet people who have been affected by scams. Kelly lost more than £2,000 to a con artist who promised to rent her a dream home. However, the house was occupied by somebody else, leaving Kelly homeless. Alexis also meets Meena, who thought her broadband provider’s customer service team had called with a tech problem. She later discovered it was a scammer who hacked into her phone and stole nearly £1,000 from her bank account.
