Conan, Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, Genta, and Haibara are on the bus with Kobayashi-sensei and Wakasa-sensei to Hatoyama Ranch to collect the new chickens they'll be caring for at school. Also on the bus are Hitsuka Junya, Nanbu Takashi, and Kano Shogo, who are headed to the same ranch. They are apparently going there to gather information and conduct research.
