Clifford and his friends catch word of this and decide to try to campaign to get him to select the type of pet that they are as his new pet. Their antics disturb his quiet studying, leading him to think that maybe it would be best if he didn't get a pet at all. Meanwhile, the animals learn that if they work together, they can still help out their friend.
