Adele Ellsworth, her two sons Luther and Brendon, and another family member, Edgar, hold Mrs. Cabot, Peter and Christine at gunpoint and demand justice for Adele's husband, Ellis, a workman who died at the hotel two years before. They accuse Mrs. Cabot of forcing the workers to continue working into the night, leading Ellis to become exhausted and fall off the building.
