Pablo the "Gitano" gets four days leave from Rebibbia prison and, in the company of his woman, steals a luxury sedan that he exchanges for a gun from a fence to rob a jewelry store. Mauro recognizes the robber following the jeweler's complaint: he was a childhood friend of his, Paolo Acerri, known as Pablo the Gitano. The boys of the district are now busy capturing him.
