The 75th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was held on November 22, 2001, in New York City and shown to viewers on NBC that same day from 9 a.m. to noon EST. It was hosted by Katie Couric, Matt Lauer and Al Roker. The lineup featured 15 giant helium balloons, 15 novelty balloons, 28 floats and falloons, five toy floats, nine specialty units, 30 clown groups, 14 large dance and music groups, 12 marching bands, celebrities from the stage and screen, and the one-and-only Santa Claus.
