Merchant Madsen's 19-year-old daughter Amanda is planning to run away from her family's holiday and Madsen himself is at odds with one of the locals when he runs some chickens down. This year there is a new girl on the staff; 18-year-old Fie going to be a kitchen maid, but is immediately promoted by the hotel host.
