Laxmibai promises him that there would soon be a day when all of India would unite and he'd have to run! Laxmibai prays that Raghunath and Tatya Tope are in Jhansi and not in Orchha. Ladai Sarkar takes Laxmibai to her ancestral temple and narrates tales about her lineage. Back in Jhansi, Moropant is shocked to learn that Laxmibai and Ladai Sarkar have become friends, so he senses a conspiracy. Meanwhile, Ladai Sarkar takes Laxmibai near her palace and orders that she be arrested! Ladai Sarkar warns her that Jhansi will once again belong to Orchha. Laxmibai is stunned at being betrayed.
